China Ship Navigation Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CSN”) is an enterprise affiliated with China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. It was established in 2014 through the joint efforts of Shanghai Navigation Instruments Co., Ltd. (whose origins can be traced back to 1869) and the Navigation & Automation Specialty of the Systems Engineering Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. CSN is a leading research and manufacturing enterprise in China’s ship navigation and automation sector, focusing its business activities on the field of ship navigation automation. Currently, its industrial structure is centered around system integration, information products, satellite navigation, optical inertial navigation, and ship automation.
Headquartered in Shanghai, Zhongchuan Navigation has established R&D centers and R&D production bases in Beijing and Xi'an, respectively. The company has been recognized with numerous prestigious titles, including “National Specialized, Sophisticated, and New ‘Little Giant’ Enterprise,” “Shanghai High-Tech Enterprise,” “Shanghai Specialized, Sophisticated, and New Enterprise,” “Technology Little Giant,” “Shanghai Intellectual Property Management Pilot Enterprise,” and “Garden Unit.” It has also received more than 30 second- and third-place awards from provincial and ministerial-level authorities. The company holds over 300 valid patents (including more than 200 invention patents) and over 100 software copyrights.
