Recently, with thorough preparation and the support of DNV-GL classification society surveyors and relevant authorities, Dr. Liu Juncheng, Director of the Optical Inertial Navigation Department at China Shipbuilding Marine Technology Co., Ltd., Dr. Liu Wei, Deputy Director of the same department, and Mr. Dong Biao, Manager of the R&D Department, successfully overcame pandemic-related challenges and obtained the EU EC MODULE B type approval certificate—comprising both the marine compass certificate and the ROT certificate—for the “Blue Sun” series fiber-optic gyrocompasses, meeting the new-generation standards set by the IMO.
