I. Product Overview
The DH-IIG electromagnetic-controlled gyrocompass is a compact gyrocompass that employs electromagnetic control and electromagnetic compensation. It can automatically and rapidly locate true north and track the geographic meridian plane, providing continuous and reliable heading information on board ships. It is suitable for all types of vessels and auxiliary military ships.
The performance of the DH-IIG electromagnetic-controlled gyrocompass fully complies with the requirements of the national standard GB/T 4300-2007, “Marine and Offshore Technology—Marine Gyrocompasses,” and has been type-approved by the China Classification Society.
II. Main Features
Stable and reliable
Simple operation: One switch, one step—entire startup procedure completed automatically.
Fast stabilization: With an initial deviation of around ±30°, the compass can stabilize within 0.7° within one hour.
High precision: The vertical and horizontal axis drift of the gyroscope is precisely compensated, and latitude errors are automatically compensated by an integrator.
The instrument is compact and lightweight, and can be installed in the bridge or the chartroom. The main compass can also be installed in combination with an autopilot.
Easy maintenance: Each circuit board is equipped with test ports, and both the main gyrocompass cover and the surrounding side panels can be opened. Additionally, the gyrocompass table can be flipped up, making repairs extremely convenient.
Various specially configured compasses are available upon request.
III. Main Technical Specifications
Accuracy metric
Stability point error: ±0.75° × SecΦ
Heading deviation 0.25° × Sec Φ
Stability point error repeatability accuracy: 0.25° × SecΦ
Constant-speed straight-course error: ±1° × Sec Φ
The error caused by a rapid change in speed of 20 kN is ±1.5°.
At a speed of 20 knots, the error caused by a rapid 180° change in heading is ±2.5°.
