Product Details

    • I. Product Overview:

      The CGY-165 projection magnetic compass is an A-class liquid magnetic compass designed and manufactured in accordance with the national standard GB/T 14108-2011, "General Technical Specifications for Marine Class A Magnetic Compasses." It is suitable for use as both a standard compass and a steering compass on various types of vessels, providing directional indications to guide navigation.

      The compass is mounted on the deck above the wheelhouse. The compass imaging unit extends from beneath the base of the compass cabinet into the interior, projecting a partial image of the compass dial onto the plane mirror inside the imaging tube. This arrangement overcomes the challenges posed by the limited space in the steering room and the difficulties of calibrating the compass within the steel-windowed compartment. The adjustment tube can be raised or lowered and rotated left or right, allowing the dial image on the plane mirror to align with the helmsman’s line of sight for easy observation of the ship’s heading. Inside the wheelhouse, the intensity of the projection lighting can be controlled, ensuring that the dial image remains clear at all times—day or night—according to the operator’s needs.

      II. Main Features:

      Excellent performance and reliable operation;

      It can be used as a standard magnetic compass and also serves as a steering magnetic compass.

      The tube can be adjusted up and down and rotated left and right for easy observation.

      In the cab, you can adjust the intensity of the projection lighting to ensure a clear image on the dial, tailored to the different needs of each of the eight nights.

      A positioning block is also installed at the center of the compass, allowing the installation of various domestically produced sensors that correspond to it, thereby enabling automatic steering with the magnetic compass.
