      2. Introduction:

      The BeiDou-2 satellite navigation system is a new-generation global navigation satellite system developed by China. The first phase of the system was preliminarily completed in 2012, providing PVT services to users in China’s surrounding regions. BeiDou-2 receivers can provide ships with real-time, highly accurate information on position, velocity, and time within the coverage area of the BeiDou-2 satellite navigation system, thereby assisting ships in completing maritime navigation.

      Main functions

      a) Capable of receiving C-code signals from the BeiDou-2 B1 frequency band (and, in a combined implementation, GPS and GLONASS L1 frequency bands) to achieve navigation and positioning functions;

      b) The combined model features single BeiDou, single GPS, single GLONASS, and three-system combined positioning capabilities;

      c) Capable of displaying information such as satellite azimuth, elevation angle, signal-to-noise ratio of satellite signals, health status, geometric dilution of precision (GDOP), and other parameters; and able to independently monitor the integrity of satellite signals.

      d) Able to output information such as position, velocity, and time;

      e) Equipped with functions for creating, storing, editing, and querying flight routes and waypoints, it can automatically calculate and display information such as the bearing, distance, estimated time of arrival, and estimated time of flight to the next waypoint (destination).

      f) Equipped with functions such as arrival alarm, anchor position deviation alarm, yaw distance alarm, and automatic alarm upon entering the destination area;

      g) Equipped with self-check, fault diagnosis, alarm, and indication functions;

       

      3. Product Composition:

      The BeiDou-2 receiver consists of a host unit (including a display and control unit, a signal processing unit, and a built-in power supply), a combined antenna, and marine cables.

       

      4. Performance indicators:

      4.1 Positioning Accuracy (95% Confidence Level)

      Key area (PDOP ≤ 4):

      Horizontal positioning error ≤ 10 m, vertical positioning error ≤ 10 m;

      Non-key areas:

      Horizontal positioning error ≤ 20 m, vertical positioning error ≤ 20 m.

      GPS: Horizontal positioning error ≤ 20 m, vertical positioning error ≤ 20 m;

      GLONASS: Horizontal positioning error ≤ 20 m, vertical positioning error ≤ 20 m;

      BeiDou-2/GPS/GLONASS: Horizontal positioning error ≤ 20 m, vertical positioning error ≤ 20 m.

      4.2 Ranging accuracy: ≤0.2 m/s

      4.3 Timing accuracy: ≤0.1 µs

      4.4 Navigation and Calculation for Maritime Navigation

      Number of track point records: ≥100,000.

       

      5. Application areas:

      The BeiDou-2 series receivers can be widely used on various types of vessels, including oceanographic research ships, marine survey vessels, offshore engineering operation vessels, volunteer ships, transport ships, and distant-water fishing vessels.

      6.1 Data Interface

      Features 4 RS-422 serial ports (output data in NMEA-0183 protocol or customized according to customer requirements). 2 CAN interfaces, and 1 second pulse interface.

      6.2 Power Interface
