The CMC-ECDIS 1100 series Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS), independently developed by CSSC Navigation, has obtained the CCS Type Approval Certificate. Through ongoing global collaboration and independent R&D efforts, this ECDIS offers a wide variety of configurations. To ensure global supply chain security, optional hardware components include: 14 types of displays, 7 types of host units, 4 types of all-in-one touch-screen devices, and 4 types of human-machine interaction units. Optional chart databases include the latest 7Cs chart database or a self-developed chart database, making it suitable for various applications—including new-build ECDIS systems, new-build Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), in-service vessel ECDIS, and official vessels with requirements for autonomous control. This system can be used either as a single unit, in dual-unit configurations, or as part of multi-unit, multi-functional workstations integrated with INS. In addition to all the standard ECDIS functions, it also features Alarm Management (BAM), sensor management, comprehensive display of navigation information (CONNING), and Track Control System (TCS) capabilities, enabling seamless, multi-function hot-swapping. It can display multiple mainstream chart data formats, including the official Yangtze River charts, and comes pre-loaded with 200 small-scale global overview charts and trial voyage official charts. The system supports both Mercator projection and polar stereographic projection, meeting the needs of ultra-large-scale port charts and polar region displays, and boasts high-precision chart display capabilities covering the entire globe. Additional user-friendly design features include: support for touch screens, providing intuitive, flexible, and efficient chart operation; support for user-customizable interfaces; and extensive use of graphical shortcut keys on the human-machine interaction interface.
