The CMC-ARPA series radar (RADAR), the third-generation product from CSSC Navigation, has obtained CCS/EC type approval certificates. Through ongoing global collaboration and independent R&D efforts, this series of radars offers a wide variety of configurations. To ensure global supply-chain security, a range of optional accessories is available, including: four categories of eight different radar antennas, four categories of nine transceiver units, 14 types of displays, seven types of host units, and four types of integrated units. Different configuration options are tailored to meet the needs of luxury ocean-going merchant vessels, coastal and inland waterway vessels, as well as government vessels with stringent requirements for autonomous control. These radars can be used individually or combined in X- and S-band transceivers, or configured in groups of three to four radars to provide comprehensive coverage and allow seamless switching among them. Moreover, they can be integrated into a comprehensive navigation system (INS) and also paired with cameras and electro-optical tracking systems. Equipped with a built-in radar switching unit and a built-in performance monitoring unit, the INS features a unified hardware platform that enables simultaneous switching among multiple software applications, such as radar, ECDIS, integrated alarms, and Conning systems. The system supports user-customized interfaces and standard display layouts, significantly reducing training time and effectively minimizing operational errors. Designed with user habits in mind, numerous operations—including dimming, control, synchronization, settings, and alarm handling—are streamlined through intuitive graphical shortcut keys. Key layouts are optimized according to user operation frequency and safety levels, thereby shortening operation and response times, enhancing control and feedback effectiveness, and boosting user satisfaction and enjoyment.
